I received this comment yesterday and thought that the statement made was one that most Americans need to hear and understand. That the United States is the most religious country on the planet and, in my opinion, the most hypocritical. The lesson to be learned from the enclosed comment is that we would be far better off if we could further separate our churches from our state.
We know that Sarah Palin believes in Creationism and thinks that it should be taught as science in public schools. But she’s not really a Creationist, she actually subscribes to another Christian faction called DOMINIONISM. Dominionism holds that Christians have rightful “dominion†over the earth- including its political institutions. Our democracy works, or suppose to work, as a result of the system of checks and balances as written in our Constitution by our Founding Fathers. So what happens when something is not right and decisions are made and actions taken that are not in accordance with the rules…….then what? Well, one recourse is the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU). Let me be more specific. According to Army Times, the 3rd Infantry Division’s 1st Brigade Combat Team has spent 35 of the last 60 months in Iraq patrolling in full battle rattle, helping restore essential services and escorting supply convoys. Now they’re training for the same mission — with a twist — at home.

Joe the Plumber Seeking More than 15 Minutes of Fame
If he gets his way, Samuel J. Wurzelbacher, also known as “Joe the Plumber,†plans to enjoy a lot more than just 15 minutes of fame referring to Andy Warhol’s often quoted 1968 statement: “In the future, everyone will be world-famous for 15 minutes.” So as Joe “the plumber†Wurzelbacher enters his 16th minute of fame the clock begins ticking to see just how long he’ll be able to sustain his “Paris Hilton-like†celebrity status.
