By now, the name Bernard Madoff should be know to you as the N.Y. money manager that has been charged with running the biggest Ponzi scheme in the history of the world. So far the list of people that were taken by Madoff are either well known celebrity types or people assumed to be well off. The truth of the matter is not so. Justice Puts a Small Dent into Genocide with Rwandan Conviction

A former Rwandan army colonel was convicted Thursday of genocide and crimes against humanity for masterminding the killings of more than half a million people in a 100-day slaughter in 1994. Survivors in Rwanda welcomed the watershed moment in a long search for justice. “It says watch out. Justice can catch up with you,” said Reed Brody, a specialist in international justice for Human Rights Watch. “The authors of genocide can and will be punished by the international community.” — Unfortunately that is not actually so!

Bush Crime Family Escapes Jail….FOR NOW

I am extremely grateful and overwhelmed with joy and optimism over the successful election of Barack Obama to the United States Presidency. HOWEVER….I can’t help feeling that our leaders and system has failed us in not upholding some of the foundational principles of our Constitution by not bringing George Bush, Dick Cheney, Karl Rove and cohorts to justice.
