Marching in the streets is important work, but wouldn’t we have greater success if we also took control of the United States government by infiltrating and taking over one of the two national political parties, using think tanks like the Coors-funded Heritage Foundation to mold public opinion .
Most of the Founding Fathersdescribe themselves as “Deists.” Every person, of whatever religious denomination he may be, is a DEIST in the first article of his Creed. Deism, from the Latin word Deus, God, is the belief of a God, and this belief is the first article of every man’s creed.
As a champion of religious liberty, freedom of speech and freedom of the press, the “Father of the Constitution,” James Madison, deserves his own proper recognition on Constitution Day….so each year on Sept. 17, our nation honors the day delegates of the Constitutional Convention signed the U.S. Constitution in 1787.
Thomas Paine communicated the ideas of the Revolution to common farmers as easily as to intellectuals, creating prose that stirred the hearts of the fledgling United States. He had a grand vision for society: he was staunchly anti-slavery, and he was one of the first to advocate a world peace organization and social security for the poor and elderly
Tabloid journalism began on Sept. 1, 1802, during Thomas Jefferson’s second year as president, when a story appeared in The Richmond Recorder that shocked the nation. The story exposes Sally Hemings as his “Monica Lewinsky” and Jefferson’s practice of sleeping with his slaves.
Most of the Founders were Deists and Unitarians who rejected doctrines like the Incarnation. Thomas Jefferson dismissed the Trinity as “incomprehensible jargon.” He and other Founders made no mention of God in the Constitution…. and took pains not to establish an official church on US soil.
During his much-ballyhooed “Restoring Honor” rally on Saturday, Glenn Beck told a whopper involving the founding father who was supposedly unable to tell a lie: George Washington.

Libertarianism is a political philosophy that focuses on the rights of individuals. It is the core belief in libertarianism that individuals have the right to do whatever they want with their person or possessions, as long as they do not infringe upon the same rights of others. Because of this belief, libertarians feel that groups, simply made up of individuals, have no more power than an individual.
If we take Sarah Palin, Glenn Beck and Newt Gingrich at their word, their objection to the proposed community center two blocks north of Ground Zero is that the entire area is hallowed ground, and a Muslim facility so close to the site is an insult to the victims and heroes of September 11.
Of course this is entirely about a swath of 9/11 fetishists, mostly Christians, ginning up anti-Muslim fear and demagoguery to score political points.
There is something wrong when a newly sworn in American citizen knows more about this country’s founding and its Constitution than most adults born here. As we celebrate the Declaration of Independence and the nation’s founding, it is also a time to think about the Constitution. Here are 10 things you may not know:
