According to media reports, President-elect Barack Obama’s transition team has been quietly working on a plan to shut down the Guantanamo Bay prison camp which was built in 1898. The plan involves the release of some of the 270 detainees and the prosecution of others in U.S. criminal courts. A third group of detainees will require special courts to allow the discussion of classified information

Moving, or transitioning, as it is called. a newly elected President into the White House is a little more complicated than renting a U-Haul and loading it up. There are literally thousands of action items that need addressing before the job is done. And who’s in charge of a transition? Nobody.

When presidents enter the White House, they have approximately 100 days to show what they are made of and in the case of our current President-elect, Barack Obama, the stakes have never been higher. Enclosed are the biggest priorities for the 44th Commander-in-Chief.

Inauguration Day is held every four years on the 20th of January, the day also happens to be my birthday, which I celebrate every year. The Lang Report will follow the countdown to January 20th when the the first “person of color” becomes the President of the United States, our Commander in Chief and America’s hope for redemption in a post-Bush world. The infamous Karl Rove continues to be a lightning rod for controversy and interest. The fact is that he is a commentator of FOX News and an advisor forJohn McCain’s campaign,all while he continues to ignore the congrssional supeona to appear for testimony certainly makes him newsworthy.

Who says we need a bailout? Henry Paulson? George Bush? It’s not like we’re getting this bailout money out of a petty cash drawer. They are asking for $700,000,000,000+ to be disbursed by who? To the bunch of greedy Wall Street sharks who are the ones primarily responsible for getting us into this predicament in the first place? TOO MANY QUESTIONS!
