JOHN McCAIN PICKS SARAH PALIN FOR VICE PRESIDENT
By webreporter on Aug 29, 2008 in Featured
John McCain just picked Governor Sarah Palin, the Governor of Alaska to be his running mate for the Presidency.
She is the current Governor of Alaska, a member of the Republican Party and the youngest and first female governor of Alaska. She is the Republican vice presidential candidate for the November 2008 election. Brought to statewide attention because of her whistleblowing on ethical violations by state Republican Party leaders she won election in 2006 by first defeating the incumbent governor in the Republican primary, then a former Democratic Alaskan governor in the general election.
On August 29, the Associated Press reported that "speculation [has] moved to [Palin as a] darkhorse" pick for the vice president running mate slot by presumptive Republican nominee John McCain. The CNBC news service is now reporting that Palin will in fact be the GOP vice-presidential nominee. She is reported to be a possible choice for the Republican Party's nomination as Vice President of the United States in the 2008 election. Formal announcement of the presumptive nominee will be made in Dayton, Ohio on August 29, 2008, by Presidential candidate John McCain.
It certainly will be interesting to see how this plays out! Will she steal some of the Clinton supporters because of her gender? Will it, once again, boil down to race against gender after all?
More will be revealed.

I think that this further supports Obama’s comment that McCain just doesn’t get it. Knowing that the 2 constituencies most important to shore up in the next 70 days are women and independents, he selected someone who is not even a little qualified and is anti-choice (among two of the biggest issues for women and independents). To quote Cecile Richards of Planned Parenthood at the DNC: “Women voting for McCain is like Chickens voting for Colonel Sanders”

Suzi, well said! I love the Colonel Sanders line.
I only hope that the neo-con masses and those who have been sitting on the fence see through McCain little ploy.
And McCain had the audacity to accuse Obama of being ambitious in his quest for the presidency.
#1 – McCain stated in his biography that he only wants to be president because it is his life’s ambition, and
#2 – His picking Palin as his running mate is so transparent that he picked her because he thought it would win him the “womens vote” and maybe swing a couple of western states his way.
Well, his first “presidential decision” is looking like a total failure.

Even my ultra-conservative coffee shop buddy was so stunned he could hardly speak. Should prove to be historic blunder; heartbeat away from the presidency, as McCain turs 72 today, and our assassins-filled world..governor of a (population)small state a world from Washington…obviously McCain caved in to the religious right. Anyone thinking Hillary supporters will vote for this turkey insults the intelligence of women. Medvedev/Putin/Ahmadinejad doing high 5s today. Her political direction is the direct opposite of Hillary. Even wants polar bears off the endangered list. On the wrong side of every issue, laughing stock on the west side of L.A.!

Jon, let’s hope that enlightened minds will prevail and the Sarah Palin choice will turn out to be the blunder that it is in reality. Do you know that McCain only met her once and spoke to her once! He introduced her like he knew her a liftime.
More BS

What ever happened to diversity and getting minorities and women into politics, oh I guess that only works if they pro choice women. Well considering the nation is 54% pro life and the more they learn about abortion they more they truly don’t like it. Not all women are opposed about abortion like you may think, some woman love there families first and their carriers second. Since when dose Planned Parenthood really care about woman, considering women who have abortions are three times more likely to commit suicide than if they did not have one. Ms. Richards, seems that the kettle is calling the pot black if they go along with your lies and deception they and the baby are going to the slaughter house, the one the has killed 50,000,000 million babies since 1973. America is starting to get tired of your humanist lies, you don’t give a damn about women or children just care about making money in your evil abortion mills
