Bush Crime Family Escapes Jail….FOR NOW

I am extremely grateful and overwhelmed with joy and optimism over the successful election of Barack Obama to the United States Presidency.

HOWEVER….I can’t help feeling that our leaders and system has failed us in not upholding some of the foundational principles of our Constitution by not bringing George Bush, Dick Cheney, Karl Rove and cohorts to justice.

ROVE in JAILThe people of the United States have so far survived the abuses and criminality of President George W. Bush and his gang of thugs, aka, The Bush Crime Family. Never has a president committed such destructive acts against the Constitution for the benefit of corporations and other self-serving agendas including Georgie’s repressive desires to please and upstage his father Georgie Sr.

As citizens of a democracy, we should take seriously our responsibility to hold any administration to lawful conduct — regardless of party affiliation. If we do not, we are agreeing to set precedents for more criminal conduct in the highest office.

The Bush administration created a false document that was used to justify the war in Iraq, lied to the American people and used torture. It must be held accountable for these and other acts.

Impeachment proceedings were begun against Richard Nixon (for covering up a burglary) and against Bill Clinton (for lying about cheating on his wife), yet few in Washington are calling for the impeachment of Bush. When will we say, "Enough"?

Gerald Ford’s pardoning of Nixon paved the way for more damaging presidential abuses. The guilty at all levels and branches of power must be held accountable to the Constitution and to the American people. Impeach now; pardon never!

It’s not about partisanship; it’s not about retribution; it’s about responsible citizens standing up for what’s right.

Every effort to pursue impeachment is important. Even a symbolic effort to pursue impeachment is valuable. The American people hope Conyers will push as hard as possible to pursue legal action against George W. Bush and Richard B. Cheney. George W. Bush and Richard B. Cheney should have been removed from office a long time ago.

George W. Bush and Richard B. Cheney are absolute evil.
