Obama Awakens Al-Qaeda….the "Sleeping Tiger"

Have you ever wondered why George Bush gave up on finding Osama bin Laden and in some cases, pulled the plug on overt and covert military operations when they had intelligence reports on his whereabouts?
It is only now, that president-elect Barack Obama is slated to take office on January 20th that we are seeing a resurgence of news reporting on Al Qaeda and Osama bin Laden. Why is that?
It is also interesting that Al Qaeda’s deputy leader Ayman al-Zawahiri delivered a harsh, personal message to President-elect Barack Obama on Wednesday, calling him a “house Negro†in an attempt to undercut his political appeal in strategic parts of the world.
Unfortunately for Al Qaeda, Obama has proven to be well received in middle-eastern countries, both by the populace and its leaders.
In the 11–minute videotape posted on the Internet, Zawahiri describes Obama as subservient to whites and suggests that the president-elect has forsaken his father’s Muslim heritage to become a stooge for Israel.
The video unfavorably compares the first black U.S. president-elect to Malcolm X, the Nation of Islam leader who was assassinated 43 years ago. Zawahiri says Obama, Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice and her predecessor, Colin L. Powell, all "confirmed" Malcolm X’s definition of a "house Negro," a derogatory term used to describe black leaders who cater to white interests.
Analysts said Zawahiri’s use of such racially charged language was risky and could backfire. They noted that while al-Qaeda has tried to appeal to Muslims of all races and nationalities, its leadership has always been dominated by Arabs and followers with darker skin have found themselves marginalized.
There is little doubt that Barack Obama’s open declaration to kill or capture Osama bin Laden will awaken the “sleeping tiger†that Al Qaeda has been since September 11th 2001, at least with the United States. But that is what occurs when you deal with a terrorist organization…..can’t have it both ways.
In hindsight, it is almost as if the Bush Administration had a “negative contract†with Al Qaeda since 9/11 which would explain that lack of attacks on U.S. soil. (NOTE: a negative contract is a term used to describe an unwritten and unspoken agreement between two parties; you know something that is “understoodâ€â€¦.wink, wink)
The sad fact is that Osama bin Laden and his organization, Al-Qaeda, have kept Bush and his administration “in check†since their attack on 9/11 and have manipulated the United States without firing another shot.
So Bush “spins†the lack of attacks on U.S. soil as his successful strategy in his “war on terror.â€
And bin Laden and friends have been laughing ever since
…….until November 4th and the election of Barack Hussein Obama!
