RACISM is ALIVE and TOO WELL in AMERICA

For those of you who doubt or even minimize the magnitude of in America, you only need to take a look at what is going on in Jena, Louisiana…
For my international readers and those of you who are unfamiliar with the story of what is now known as the Jena 6, I will summarize it to expose the seriousness of this cancer still present in 21st century America.
Here’s the story……
It all started when a group of black students found it necessary to ask permission to sit under a tree where white students normally sat. The school administration told them they were free to sit wherever they liked and when they went to the area the next day they found three nooses hanging from the branches!
Three students were quickly identified and given a 3 day suspension.
Finally, on December 4th, a group of black students allegedly jumped a white student knocking him unconscious. The student, supposedly a friend of the "noose hangers" was not seriously injured and spent only a few hours in the hospital.
The District Attorney for LaSalle Parish, Reed Walters, opted to charge the six (6) black students with attempted second (2nd) degree murder and other offenses for which they could face a maximum of 100 years in prison if convicted.
