Is John McCain a Drowning Man?
By webreporter on Jul 24, 2008 in Political Commentary
John McCain put on quite a performance this week as he desperately tried to explain "the surge" and has come off like a bumbling, self-obsessed drowning man. Factually, he has made so many mistakes that, as far as I'm concerned, it should disqualify him from being our next president.
As I watched the two VIDEOS (below) I felt a combination of outrage, sadness and utter embarrassment that this is a man seeking to be the next "leader of the free world." It is so appalling and so factually wrong that I'm since been wondering what McCain’s inner circle must be experiencing.
It is actually difficult to come away from watching the videos of McCain without feeling like you are watching the unraveling of a man that is either too tired, too ignorant or just too old for the job he is applying for.
At times I wasn’t sure if I was watching an excerpt from one of his performances on Saturday Night Live. Actually, if I showed you the video without any prior explanation, it would be difficult for you to believe that you weren’t watching a comedy skit.
Before you watch the enclosed videos, let me remind you that these are issues that anyone trying out for Commander in Chief must understand prior to being sworn in as President of the United States. The supreme irony in all of this is that it is Senator McCain that comes off as the novice, not Senator Obama as his detractors have tried to assert.
