Is John McCain the Best the Republicans Got to Give?

If the is one word that could sum up ’s as he campaigns, once again, for the Republican nomination is ambivalence, which is defined as: uncertainty or indecisiveness as to which course to follow.

This ambivalence becomes amazingly transparent every time McCain speaks on the war in Iraq and his comfort with an American presence there for the next century. That’s right….the next 100 years! Lest you have any doubt…check out this video filmed during a town hall meeting in Derry, New Hampshire last night, where Sen. John McCain (R-AZ) addressed a crowd of roughly two hundred people.

It is obvious that Senator John McCain is not swayed by the will of the American people as the polls overwhelmingly favor the pull-out of troops as soon as possible. And this appears to be one of the many ways that McCain is disconnected from reality and living in his own universe.

In addition to the human toll of 3960 U.S. deaths in Iraq to date, there is the obscene amount of money that is costs every second we remain on Iraqi soil. As of 9:35pm EST, we have spent upwards of $493,905,273,170 and counting. HAVE I GOT YOUT ATTENTION!

Here is a video satirizing the cost, reminding us of the monetary effect on the average American citizen:

If you believe that the United States of America needs to continue to act of the “world’s policeman,” maintaining military bases all over the world as the world morph’s into a new and unpoliceable geopolitical landscape while the American people foot the bill…..the John McCain is your man.
