Is Romney Delusional, a Liar, or Just Your Garden Variety Bullshit Artist?

You may have witnessed it yourself – Last week on , Mitt Romney repeated a claim that he has made many time before; that he had seen his father, George Romney , march with civil right pioneer Martin Luther King.

Again, in his “Faith in America” speech given earlier this month at College Station. Texas, Romney made the statement, “I saw my father march with Martin Luther King.”

Well, after several investigation by news agencies, it has been discovered that not only did Mitt Romney not see his father march with MLK….his father never marched with MLK at all!

DIG THIS……

First it seemed to be just another politician getting caught up in the moment and sticking his foot in his mouth but in the case of Mitt Romney it has become an avalanche of lies on top of lies followed by the stereotypical feeble attempts to cover it all up with the hope that it will all just go away or be over-shadowed by another event on the campaign trail.

It is always the cover-ups in these things that add fuel to the fire and exacerbate the problem. When confronted with

  • First he said, “Its a figure of speech”
  • Then he told reporters, “I’ve to be as accurate as I can be. If you look at the literature or look at the dictionary, the term ‘saw’ includes being aware of – in the sense I’ve described.”

WHAT?

It is amazing the lengths that politicians will go to in order to deliberately try to confuse the issue and hope that people will just walk away and forget. We’ve already had to put up with one dishonest idiot in the White House for almost 7 years now.

WAIT, ROMNEY’S GOT MUCH MORE BULLSHIT TO SHARE……

Romney recently stated that, “I received the endorsement of the NRA in 2002 while running for governor of Massachusetts.

Well, once again the truth does not jive with Romney’s recollection of events. It seems that the NRA did not endorse either candidate and actually gave a higher issues rating to his Democratic opponent!

Romney’s brilliant response? “It was, if you will, a support phone bank, which is not an official endorsement.”   …..WHAT?

Next: In April, his staff said he had been hunting on only two occasions despite his telling a New Hampshire voter, “I've been a hunter pretty much all my life.” Romney, in his now typical brilliance, later said that he hunted more than twice but only for “small varmints” and that he did not own a gun or have a hunting license.

Lastly, and one of my favorites is when Romney stated,

"I'm an English literature major," he added, after the questions didn't stop. "When we say I saw the Patriots win the World Series, it doesn't necessarily mean you were there." (Yes, he did speak off the cuff about the idea of a football team winning the .)

Our next President? I THINK NOT
