The Military-Industrial Complex ……back and as strong as ever!

Remember the Military-Industrial Complex (MIC) from the good old days of the Vietnam War?
They were so very helpful in establishing themselves as an integral part of our economy while creating innovative methods of gouging the federal government and bilking American taxpayers, all in times of war and national strife.
Well, guess what, they’re back! Different names and faces but their greed and desire to self serve has not diminished!
, Blackwater, and are the primary culprits but only the very tip of the iceberg as there are over 126,000 private contractors now doing business in Iraq!
Now, if you haven’t heard of Titan, Blackwater, or CACI you probably heard of Haliburton. This is the company that has come under fire for receiving billion dollar contracts from the Department of Defense without having to bid for them. Oh, and by the way, Dick Cheney was the CEO before resigning to become our Vice President.

MIC, or the iron triangle is defined by the institutionalized collusion between defense contractors (industry), the Pentagon (military), and the U.S. government (Congress & Executive Branch) who all act as a cartel that works against the public interest and is motivated only by profit
Blackwater is a private army for hire and is said to be better armed and protected than the U.S. military and whose employees are paid many times what their military counterparts are paid.
CACI is an IT firm that provided translators and interrogators at the Abu Gharib prison.
Titan Corporation is also an IT firm that provides interrogators and translators at Abu Gharib.
Haliburton KBR is a huge presence in Iraq providing construction and petroleum services. The also fulfill just about every other service that military personnel provides acting as a “pseudo military.
