		<description>Steve, thank you for the article you sent me as I did find your perspective interesting and refreshing. I can understand a certain amount of revulsion towards the boomers as I too have felt it as well at times.
You said we &quot;came out of Camelot and blew it&quot; which has a measure of truth in it, however you might want to remember that we &quot;made&quot; Camelot....it just didn&#039;t appear. We came out of the very sedate and complacent 1950s and we changed just about every aspect of society, opening the world&#039;s eyes to the possibility of world peace and &quot;giving a shit&quot; about the next guy, whether he be next door or across the ocean.
I too am saddened about how we &quot;dropped the ball&quot; and allowed the Reagan Administration to unravel almost everything we did to that point. Our bad! I have chosen to view the the 60&#039;s in an different, more empowering way as there was much good that came from it and much that we can learn from the mistakes we made.
