Reverend Jeremiah Wright has continued to promote himself and his message on a series of live events, radio and television talk shows, damaging the presidential campaign of his friend and congregant, , who had chose to remain silent in an obvious attempt to take the high road…..UNTIL NOW!

Many have wondered why Obama had taken so long to respond to the mad Reverend's transparent display of self-aggrandizement at his and his campaign’s expense. Well, for whatever reason he is silent no more!

Tuesday, at a press conference in North Carolina, in an exercise of extreme damage control, Senator Obama finally let loose when he commanded, "enough is enough." His stern tones could not hide the outrage he was feeling as he spoke to the crowd and cameras.

Those who witnessed the speech knew that this was not easy for the Senator as he is a man of intense loyalty even to a man who has publicly betrayed him.

Obama noted that when Wright, the senior pastor at Trinity United Church of Christ on Chicago’s South Side, first surfaced as an issue, "I gave him the benefit of the doubt in my speech in Philadelphia, explaining that he has done enormous good in the church, he's built a wonderful congregation

"But when he states and then amplifies such ridiculous propositions as the U.S. government somehow being involved in AIDS; when he suggests that Minister Farrakhan somehow represents one of the greatest voices of the 20th and 21st century; when he equates the United States' wartime efforts with terrorism, then there are no excuses. They offend me, they rightly offend all Americans, and they should be denounced. And that's what I’m doing very clearly and unequivocally here today. "

Whether you are an Obama fan or detractor it would be difficult to refute that he stood tall at the news conference and once again managed to navigate that fine line between ugly anger and the appearance of a desperate man, not an easy task. This week he showed us the stuff that great Presidents are made of.
