Congress Reaches a New Low as the ‘Pigs Surround the Trough’ in a Bailout Bill Feeding Frenzy
To adapt and paraphrase the infamous line from the movie Network, “all Americans should be made as hell and unwilling to take it anymore!†Have we, American citizens, lowered the bar so much that we are willing to accept and support the adding of “sweeteners†otherwise known as ““pork†(in “government-speakâ€) to the pending bailout bill†that has been characterized as “must pass legislation?†The revised Bill, which started life nearly two weeks ago as a three-page proposal from Henry Paulson, the Treasury Secretary, now stretches to more than 450 pages. A closer look at who switched votes and are now advocating for it passage by the House would likely reveal that they are the pork stuffers!

To Bail Out or Not To Bail Out….does anybody really know?
Have you stopped for one moment to think if we really need $700,000,000,000 to bail out the U.S. economy? It has become far too easy to believe what we here from the “suits” in Washington and then blindly follow them wherever they go. All right-thinking people know that we just have to give $700 billion to the Wall Street crew or the economy will collapse….right? MAYBE NOT….think about it.
